On our way to Germany last week, we visited the Mauthausen-Gusen Nazi concentration camp. This served as a slave labor camp in WWII where over 125,000 people were killed. This was labeled a "Grade III" camp which means it was intended to be the toughest camp for "Incorrigible enemies of the Reich". The purpose was to be extermination through extreme labor. We spent almost 3 hours walking through the camp and learning its disgusting and horrible history.
